Tell the class about languages that you speak or have contact with.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Main Spanish activities:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ask children if they know whereabouts we speak Spanish. Show the map to them. Ask if they have been on holiday to any of those places. Make a list on the interactive board or whiteboard.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Introduce \u00a1Buenos d\u00edas! (Good morning!) and \u00a1Hola! (Hello! or Hi!) as you shake children\u2019s hands around the room.<\/li>\n<li><strong>We played a game in two groups.\u00a0Words practised were (Buenos dias, buenas tardes, buenas noches, ni\u00f1o y ni\u00f1a).\u00a0This was achieved by a visual and co-ordination game. (note:1)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Encourage children to go around the room greeting others.<\/li>\n<li><strong>We practise the question \u00bfQu\u00e9 tal? (How are you?) and hold up your thumb to illustrate the reply Muy Bien.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Final Spanish Activities:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At the end of the session, wave goodbye and say \u00a1Adi\u00f3s!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(note:1)<\/p>\n<p>You must cut the pictures provided for this activity. You put the children in two teams. Then you call out the first two children from each team. You could use two chairs or two tables where you put all the cards. You say a word or sentence \u201cbuenos dias\u201d. Children should pick up the correct card. As soon as they can. If the child is right take the card and put it away from the rest. If is wrong the card stays in the same place.
